Prerequisite students must have successfully completed the Technology Literacy course.

Students will study computer systems and work as classroom technicians while applying their knowledge to troubleshoot and solve computer-related problems. Students will be exposed to an in depth curriculum that will cover hardware, software, networking and telecommunication issues. Students will learn to utilize diagnostic software, interpret test results, replace defective components, install operating systems and participate in hands-on activities that will allow students to design and configure a local area network. Special emphasis will be placed on preparing students for the A+ certification exam, which is recognized by industry as the standard for computer technicians.
